UPDATE September 14, 2005: V1.70 released
 |
<< V1.70 |
New! Backup plug-in to protect your images by making a second copy as they are downloaded.
New! Automatically synchronize the clock of your Canon camera with the clock on your PC. This makes it easy to ensure your camera is always set to the right time and avoid annoying problems like forgetting to change the clock when Daylight Saving Time ends. It can also be used to ensure the clocks on several cameras are all synchronized to the PC's time and date.
New in this release:
- Now stores the last 12 download paths and job codes for easy reuse
- Adds a token display showing the values of each token to make it easier to identify which token to use
- Adds a second token (%T9) for more flexible camera mapping e.g. allowing camera specific file renaming and download directory specification
- Adds support for raw files from the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D and Epson R-D1 using a card reader
- Fixes the problem with different time zones when setting the clock on Canon EOS cameras
UPDATE October 18, 2004: V1.5 released
This release adds support for downloading directly from the Canon EOS 20D and 1D Mark II and other cameras. With the 1D Mark II it will from both the SD and the CF cards.
Also in this release are new tokens which return the date offset by 3 hours. This is useful when shooting evening events which run past midnight and you want to download all the images to the same dated folder.
This release also includes support for downloading Panasonic DMC-LC1 and Leica Digilux 2 raw files including the ability to use the shooting data for naming files and folders.
UPDATE September 02, 2004: V1.4.2 released
This is a minor update to Downloader Pro v1.4.1 which fixes a problem with IPTC data in Canon EOS-1D, 1Ds, 1D Mark II and Nikon raw files.
UPDATE August 19, 2004: V1.41 released
This a minor update to v1.4 and includes the following changes:
- Fixes problems Downloader Pro v1.4 had connecting directly to some Canon PowerShot cameras
- Improved reading of shooting data from images from Nikon cameras
New features since Downloader Pro v1.3:
- Ability to add IPTC data to Canon EOS-1D Mark II raw files
- New %P token which evaluates to the quarter (1=Jan-Mar, 2=Apr-Jun, 3=Jul-Sep, 4=Oct-Dec) e.g. "q%P" would give "q2" today.
- Thumbnail display has next/prev buttons and the help file has been updated. Double-click on a file to display the thumbnail and then use the cursor left/right keys or the buttons to display next/prev thumbnails. Thumbnail display is only available with card readers.
- Now downloads Kodak raw files and can read the shooting data
NOTE: Due to recent changes in Canon's libraries Downloader Pro no longer downloads images directly from Canon EOS cameras (it is still able to download directly from Canon PowerShot cameras). Using a fast USB 2.0 or FireWire card reader with Downloader Pro is highly recommended for all cameras and is much faster than downloading from EOS cameras via USB or FireWire.
A utility is available for connecting to Canon EOS cameras and setting the camera date and time to the PC's clock and entering the owner name string. This utility is completely free and comes without warranty or support nad may be downloaded using one of the links below:
